What is counseling?
Counseling in my opinion is the opportunity for an individual to explore any number of reactions,
responses, thoughts, feelings, perceptions, or interpretations of their life experiences. It allows one to
grow and mature, heal and resolve past and present issues.

Does being in counseling mean I'm mentally ill?
No, not by any means. Most of the time it used to provide a place for someone to sort things out, think
out loud, or have an objective third person's opinion. It helps a person identify alternatives and solutions
to problems or concerns, that only they can choose too do.

How long does it take?
It depends on the issue or problem. I do not believe in keeping people in therapy forever, so I look at
12-16 sessions at the most. Of course this depends on the chronic nature of the problem and the
motivation the individual has to change the problem.

Do you accept credit cards, cash, checks, money orders?
I DO NOT accept checks. You can use a credit card, cash, or money orders. To make an appointment
go to the
Contact page.

How do I make an appointment?
You may call the office and check for available times. If you have insurance make sure you call the
carrier to verify what benefits you have, any deduction that must be met, and is there is any co-pay. If you
are paying online, you need to chose the service you are wanting. When that has been done and I have
been alerted of your payment we will proceed. To make an appointment go to the contact page .

How will I know when counseling/therapy is no longer needed?
You will know. We will review the goals and objectives together. When they are met, or when you are
comfortable with the progress you have made, then you will be dismissed from services.
